Rooted in forests, driving renewable materials forward

We are a Swedish materials company with years of experience developing wood fibre fillers and renewable elastomers. With proven results from FibraQ® and a strong focus on scale-up, we are committed to accelerating the shift toward circular, low-carbon plastics.

About us

Greewave builds on several years of development around FibraQ®, a renewable wood fibre filler for plastics first advanced within Biofiber Tech. Our team has been closely involved with FibraQ® since its early stages, contributing to research, commercialization, and industrial pilots.

Some of the original investors and team members who supported FibraQ® from the beginning are now continuing that journey with Greewave. This ensures continuity of expertise, proven formulations, and established partnerships.

By carrying FibraQ® forward under the Greewave brand, we combine a strong foundation of experience with a renewed focus on scaling renewable materials. Together with our demo plant in Sweden and ongoing innovation such as RubraQ®, a renewable elastomer now in validation, we are positioned to accelerate the transition to circular, low-carbon plastics.

What we do

We develop renewable materials from Swedish forestry residues. By turning side streams into high-performance fillers and elastomers, we reduce fossil dependence and enable more sustainable plastics.

Our portfolio includes FibraQ®, an engineered wood fibre filler for plastic compounding that has been validated in applications such as 3D printing, injection moulding, and extrusion. We are also developing RubraQ®, a renewable elastomer now in lab-scale validation with potential as a drop-in component in plastics such as ABS and HIPS.

Through our demo plant in Sweden, we support customers from formulation to pilot compounding and small-batch production.

Why we do it

Forestry is a cornerstone of the Swedish bioeconomy, and using every part of the tree supports circular, resource-efficient production. Plastic demand continues to grow worldwide, but so does the need to reduce COâ‚‚ emissions and fossil inputs.

Our mission is to accelerate the shift toward circular plastics by delivering renewable, scalable materials. Building on years of work with FibraQ®, we combine proven technology, industry partnerships, and new innovation to create impact today and in the future.
