We’re proud to announce that Greewave AB has acquired the FibraQ brand, marking a major step forward in our mission to drive innovation in natural fiber upcycling and sustainable material development.

Why We Acquired FibraQ

At Greewave, we believe in the untapped potential of natural fiber residues. Our goal is to upcycle these underutilized resources into high-performance, bio-based materials that support a more circular and climate-smart future.

FibraQ, originally developed by Biofiber Tech Sweden AB, is a proven wood fiber-based filler that enables manufacturers to reduce their climate impact without compromising on performance. The acquisition of FibraQ aligns perfectly with our vision to scale up sustainable materials based on natural fiber upcycling.

A Team That Knows the Material

Greewave was founded by a team with deep experience in sustainable material innovation – many of whom were directly involved in the development of FibraQ. This means we’re not just acquiring a brand; we’re continuing a journey we’ve already helped shape.

What This Means for FibraQ Customers

If you’re already working with FibraQ, you can feel confident moving forward:

  • All existing FibraQ customer projects will continue under Greewave

  • Sample deliveries and development work are ongoing

  • The same experienced team is behind the product

We’ve also established a pilot facility in Gyttorp, Sweden, where we can test, validate, and produce FibraQ materials at small scale – and continue developing new natural fiber-based solutions.

Looking Ahead

This acquisition is just the beginning. At Greewave, we’re committed to building a portfolio of sustainable, circular materials that help industries reduce their environmental footprint and transition to greener solutions.

We’re grateful for the trust and support from our partners, customers, and community. And we’re excited to continue this journey – with natural fiber upcycling at the heart of what we do.
