We’re excited to share that Greewave is part of ACCELERATE – a newly launched research center focused on transforming bio-based carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable materials and chemicals. The project has been awarded SEK 60 million by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) and brings together leading researchers and companies from across Sweden.
A Shared Mission for a Greener Future
Led by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with Stockholm University, ACCELERATE brings together a multidisciplinary team of scientists and industry partners. The goal is to develop scalable technologies that can turn CO₂ – one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time – into a resource for sustainable innovation.
“This is exactly the kind of collaboration we believe in – where science, sustainability, and industry come together to create real impact,” says Erik Persson Co-Founder at Greewave.
Greewave’s Contribution
At Greewave, we’re contributing with our expertise in upcycling forest residues into circular, high-value materials. Our role in the project is closely aligned with our mission: to drive the green transition by unlocking the potential of renewable resources and closing material loops.
We’re proud to be part of a national effort that not only addresses climate challenges but also opens up new opportunities for sustainable materials and technologies.
Stay Connected
We’ll be sharing updates as the project progresses. In the meantime, you can read more about ACCELERATE on Stockholm University’s website, or follow us on LinkedIn for the latest news from our team.
